Malheureusement, les combats ne sont pas terminés, même s’il ne sont pas visible du Net.

Qemu-knosciences-0.9 ( x86 vs PPC )
Tjcw, a cool guy who watch knosciences evolution made a knosciences-0.9 CD that behave under windows like any windows applications…….
Well, in fact, this is kinda slow on my 1,6GHz x86. But it worked perfectly from the start to the end. Get the torrent there, it should be great with much processor speed 🙂

I was very impressed when I understand that it could work the same under another processor.
Qemu is emulating the x86 processor itself so it could emulate x86 processor under PPC (MacOsX).
And yes, it worked. You can use knosciences-0.9 under MacOsX with Qemu. It’s slow as hell on my 1,2 Ghz iBook PPC, but it should be great with much processor speed (Bis)
For information, running knosciences on VirtualPC 7 for Mac is tricky because virtualPc do not support more than 24bit colors and knosciences use by default 32bit colors.

Knosciences 0.9 in work
Hi All !
The knosciences-0.9 is in work with the integration of :
Xfce 4.2.1 with “start menu”
Rox 2.2 (A great file manager with icons)
Masive Software update.
The new knosciences will improve the desktop allowing the newbie to be cool under GNU/Linux.
For now, I’m working on an Application Directory within Rox that will be the mirror of the new “start menu”.

Un travail important va être mener pour rendre la knosciences plus accessible aux francophones. Ce travail va permettre de fabriquer un CD live adapté au collèges et aux Lycées avec des menus thématiques et des documents de prise en main en français (ce qui est déjà partiellement le cas).
