The SD card may be presented on any device like \/dev\/sdx so use on the Terminal<\/strong> the command lsblk<\/strong>\u00a0 or sudo fdisk -lu<\/strong> to\u00a0check.<\/p>\n

sudo apt-get install gddrescue xz-utils\r\nunxz myimage-raspberry-pi.img.xz\r\nsudo ddrescue -D --force myimage-raspberry-pi.img \/dev\/sdx<\/pre>\n

On MacOSX :<\/h2>\n
On MacOsx you’ll need a real package handler aka : brew<\/strong> !<\/p>\n

  1. Press Command+Space<\/code> and type Terminal<\/i><\/b> and press enter\/return<\/i><\/b> key.<\/li>\n
  2. Run in Terminal app:
    \n
    ruby -e \"$(curl -fsSL https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/Homebrew\/install\/master\/install)\" < \/dev\/null 2> \/dev\/null<\/code><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
    and press enter\/return<\/i><\/b> key. Wait for the command to finish.<\/li>\n
  3. Run:
    \nbrew install ddrescue<\/code><\/li>\n
  4. Search where is your SD card device with diskutil list<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Then use it :<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
